Anyone know of any good horn plug-ins?

I remember one from years ago but don't know the name. I find it's always hard to get a plug-in with real, genuine-sounding trumpets/sax/brass, etc. I'm mainly looking for trumpet.

Any suggestions?

Everyone here is probably already aware of this but there are several amazing brass libraries for Kontakt. In fact there are entire orchestra libraries you can get. They are sampled from real instruments played in movie and music recording studios, and are what movie producers use to make mockups and temp scores, sometimes actual movie soundtracks.

In my opinion, nothing beats Kontakt, but I'll link you to a site that compiles the best Kontakt libraries plus other plugins like EWQL.

Off the top if you're looking for just a trumpet library, check out Auddict or Cinesamples.

Here's a few of the brass libraries I'm looking at. They sound amazing, but cost money (especially Spitfire).

Or if you want for cheaper consider EWQL Composer Cloud. You pay $30 a month for an entire orchestral library

@arta Those sound nice as well. I think my issue overall with horn plug-ins is that it's probably not what I'm looking for most of the time. Even though they sound great, I prefer a horn sample because to me it sounds more authentic.

But then again, that could apply to any instrument.

That is true. I'm a music novice, but I've always wanted to make beats that sound like soul samples or at least mix in elements that match the sample. And it was really hard for me to get the sound exactly. I can add whatever distortion, reverb, vinyl noise, wobble the mod wheel, etc but you can always tell it's a little too clean.

Those Kontakt plugins are your best bet, although you will have to look around a while for the exact sound you want. Every recorded horn sounds different and has a bunch of articulations with it.
