@Kane the MOD
Beat sounded like something they would put in an movie for an E.T remake
Very sci-fi kind of vibe to it
Good job

@M.I.ndless
Love the piano feel, and how all the sudden it turns faster
The only thing i didn't feel a bit, was the drums on it, but thats personal taste

Both very good job! ;)
@Kane the MOD The sci-fi synth is priceless. The bouncing kick is nice, and that snare sound has a cinematic "ta-da." The '60s bass sound (great groove) is consistent with the keyboards (maybe a bit high in volume) that seem to come from a theme song crafted by John Barry. The arrangement flows brilliantly from start to finish. Excellent work.

@M.I.ndless I love the idea of using classical music samples. That fast string progression is great. I also really like the drums in this beat, especially the snare sound. While the creative level is very dope, I'm less convinced by the choice of sound (but the drums). The bass form my (cheap) speakers might be too sub-heavy, as it feels a bit faint. However, it's nice when it hits regularly on the quarter notes. Still regarding the sound: given the character of the samples, I would have preferred to hear cleaner sounds (like @Tomblr ), here, the lo-fi sound doesn't seem to fit as well for my taste.

@Kane the MOD - love the drum fill in the intro. This is a really cool beat! the 60s sci-fi sound is an interesting choice and executed well. There's also a mysterious vibe to it. Like the scene where the aliens descend from the ramp or humans enter their spaceship for the first time. There's an intrigue and suspense to it. Clever choice of samples and sounds.

@M.I.ndless - Your sample selection is always on point! That piano line to open the beat is perfect and I like how you go straight into the strings. Did you down-sample anything? Not sure if the samples had that lofi-ness to them or if it was a choice. I do like gritty lofi, but I think some parts could benefit from a richer more 'pristine' sound. This kinda has a Wu-tang vibe to it. I can imagine RZA and GZA spitting some complicated metaphysics bars over this lol. Dope.

I had a Sci Fi Version of V for Vendetta in mind when I created this beat.

Thanks for the feedback @BiggChev, @attila and @Tomblr. TBH this was an older beat I threw in because i was working on Battle That, don't remember the process, but if it sounds lofi, probably just the process I was using back then with little to no mixing/mastering skill (still working on that...) Thanks for listening! First Beat Fight for me. Not the last!

Can't say no, but I can say wait a minute, please. I'm a middle aged man, not a fucking millenial full of energy like you!

That’s what you say…but I’m sure you make more music than I do on a weekly basis.

Either way, I’m spent creatively right now. It’ll be a bit before I’m ready to challenge anybody again.
