I just had an idea to add to MPCs

since it's a hi-hat "roll", why not add a thingy like this to the corner, where each 8th part is assigned 1 hi-hat sounds (they could all use the same "sound" but different velocities/pitches, either automated or manually fixed, or different sounds even), and when you take the thingy's head and spin it, when it passes over to the next "house", it plays the sound assigned to that.
so that way if you wanna do something like "hat, hat, hat, roll, hat hat hat hat" you just move it quantizedly at first and then you go crazy, so it does the roll sound.

I guess it's sort of like having the Note Repeat button? I can hold it down and press the pad with the hat then the pad with the roll.
yeah but you control the speed yk. you can go fast slow whatever. the idea came from this hallucination where I was inside of a disco-ball type thing & there were like a list of sounds from left to right, and whichever sound I looked at it played. so moving fast from left to right gave it a "wrrruppp" effect ifykwim. like a snare roll except every sound it's different.

Did the US napalm one of your poppy fields or something?

Honestly, jokes aside this sounds like something that already exists on a lot of controllers or DAWs

sleep issues. and food. obviously.

does it? where?
My drum pads has note repeat option... I can hold say straight 8th note triplets, then on beat 4 I could hold the 32 note triplets which will do a hat roll, I could then switch to 8th note triplets.
