It's crazy how coming back to a sample years removed can generate such different results. Like @Fade I prefer the newer flip - but there's an underground vibe to the original that's undeniable. Both are dope and we're thankful for you sharing!
Was really limited with what I could do with samples on the old Reason. Cubase opened up a whole new world of possibilities. I used to have to chop my samples in soundforge then import them into an NNXT. No time stretching or any fancy stuff like that. Was a pain in the fucking arse to be blunt. Now I can do everything in one DAW.

Every few months or so I get the itch to revisit Cubase. I absolutely loved in back in the day. I did all my sample stretching/chopping in Acid Pro then moved over to Cubase. Back then I wasn't really using it to it's full potential (I was 14 lol). Everybody I knew was mostly on Fruity Loops, so I liked that the Cubase FX and features gave my stuff a unique sound.

Right now I'm very happy with my Maschine/Logic workflow. I have a few gripes with both, but I don't think there's a more capable sampler than Maschine. I guess it's like any tool that you know inside-out, but man you can do some crazy things with it.

I do want to try mapping my Mikro MK3 to the drum kit designer in Logic because penciling drums, or playing them in with a keyboard doesn't feel right.
