Winning the most recent Beat This! Competition, where his Summer BBQ beat topped the rest, @Bruce Lee Beatz keeps making hard-hitting, yet smooth beats. Hailing from Germany, he's been working hard at perfecting his craft and recently answered our Studio Talk: 8 Questions.
1. What is your studio setup like?
I'm more of a software user, I own 2 Yamaha HS8. A laptop, MIDI controller and an audio interface.
2. What is the one software or hardware that you can’t live without?
FL Studio! I Love this DAW and there are so many things you can do with it.
3. What is a typical day for you?

6. How long does it take to make a full beat?
Full beat without mixing sometimes 1 hour, sometimes 5.. It really depends. Mixing usually takes me 3 hours.
7. Do you have any studio tricks that help you work better and faster?
I keep everything organized, so I don't have to search for anything, because that kills the inspiration the most.
8. What’s in your near future?
I'm working on an album right now it will drop in October (I'm working on my homepage as well).
