Both are excellent works, with nice jobs on the strings. The beat by @DJ Excellence is great, and the composition and production are perfect, there’s nothing that really doesn’t work, It's a great demonstration of skills at various levels, what might be missing is a sense of expressive urgency. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well. I voted for @Bangaz By Boon because it seems to have more soul, but the mastering could be better imho. In particular, the volume of the piano or whatever it is at the beginning, seems to drop too much when the drums come, in due to the compression.

@attila Thank you for that bro I greatly appreciate it! And you are definitely right about me lowering the volume on my banjo bud haha but that's how I wanted it in the mix, what I should of done was lower it at the beginning a lot more and just had the volume of it leveled out throughout! Thank you for pointing that out to me!

Indeed, that's exactly what I was saying. In the mix, it’s fine from the second, it’s just at the beginning that it's too loud, as if it comes in, and when the drums enter, it drops too drastically. I thought you had kept the same level in the mix, but then a compressor on the bus might have done that trick. It’s something that happens...

Since I'm here, I've challenged you... a laid-back beat, slow-paced. I made it during a flight (it means no gears at all, just a laptop and headphones!), a month ago, and then I didn't have time to refine it until yesterday. I had that problem with the compressor too!
