Wassup everyone, hope youre having a great evening (Its 2 am in my country as Im typing this) Imma kick this Showcase off with this beat of mine, I havent been working on this for that long, its actually been put together on and off in about 3 days, but I think its my best work so far. In a few weeks its gonna be a year since I started making music, so Im still not that good at mix and master, but recently Ive been more focusing on "not being too repetitive", since I put out a beattape and posted it on another forum (I got no replies here when I posted it but whatever, I hope it doesnt sound salty lmao) and everyone complained about the songs being very repetitive. It kinda opened my eyes and I started noticing how I did often just copy my patterns 4-8 times to make one "verse", then had a little switchup in "a chorus" and then had the same verse again, so Im trying to get away from that now and make my songs more "dynamic". Whatever, enough rambling, hope yall like this one.

@Taron; Not bad. Not my sorta vibe as i'm more into melodic chill beats so i did get bored rather quick as there's not much things going on, but this sounds like it could be a good underground rap battle type beat. The mix and arrangement seems fine to me tho. Keep up the work!

Here's my new trap beat I just posted couple days ago, lmk what you guys think!

Sup guys

@Taron Rushin sounds like it would be on an intense scene in a fighting movie, shit is nice. I can relate to not being able to mix and master well. But as your beat I don't hear anything clashing and its pretty loud to me seems good.

@Yogi Beatz The bass is smooth and everytinnng is mellow out. An ideal trap beat to say the least. I would love to hear Cole speak on that too.

@WIKTO-GRIZZLY Your melody is nice, addicting. I be bopping the same way if I get a good melody on a beat. I would turn sequence in back down a little and slow the tempo down a tad bit to shape it into a smooth r&b track. I also like the voice samples you added onto it. You need to extend this though cause the melody too good to just leave it at 1:43! lmaoo

As for me I made this instrumental called Juggernaut. I sampled Taeko Ohnuki 4:00am, Black Eyed Peas Pump it and that X-men movie (I forget which one tbh). Feedback is definitely needed. Thanks.

Just a little heads up, my sample is explicit.

Thank you bro!
I understood your thought.

About your example, a good example of classic hip hop. Scratches himself did?
Is this a remix?

Hey Noble Purpose, that sample for the intro is pretty sweet, however maybe work on the way your piano loops, your drums are honestly really nice. Your kicks have a good punch and nice spacing but the way the piano sounds when it restarts isn't appealing to me. It sounds sort of rough cut, the pattern kinda abruptly stops as if it cuts out...then restarts again. If the piano looped a little better and maybe some underlying bass was added, this would be a top tier boom-bap style beat.

Weird ominous beat, heavily distorted 808

About the Beat
I produced this beat with a friend of mine who just started producing, he sent me a sub-bass pattern and asked me what I would change. I added the high-hat pattern that's in the beat and a clap and sent it back. We emailed the beat back and forth, StiXXX doing most of the mixing while I did most the pattern work on the drums and melodies, I also arranged the beat and made my own 808 for it. I think it turned out good, let me know what you think.

If you care about more than the beat :
First time posting on here, happy to have found a community with like-minded goals and ideas. I started producing in December-ish of 2017 learning mostly from youtube tutorials and music theory books. I'm pretty good with knowing Fl studio at this point but I still struggle with knowing what sounds need effects and which don't, and at what volume I set my sounds in. I play no instruments and have no musical background but have an ear for a beat and would consider myself to be average in the skills department. I am hoping to make a career out of production and do it long term. Please reply with feedback on my beat as it is incredibly valuable to me!

I'd hate to say its a remix, I used the Pump it vocals just to compliment the kicks. Annnnd I didn't actually scratch the samples myself, I used the gross beat plugin from FL studio. Thank you though man I appreciate it.
That new track you posted is well done. I couldn't understand most of it but like you said I got the general idea of the track. It's really upbeat and fun.

Here is my new track!
Unfortunately, not everyone will understand the meaning. not the whole track in english. But in general, the idea is clear.

dope beat @WIKTO-GRIZZLY ... the beat is Really beautiful, the ending is dope, i just think it has too many extra sounds on it, like on the chorus, the vocal doesn't sound too well, and that bothers me a bit.

i think you are good at making the vibe of the beat, which is the most important step ( in my opinion ) , but the beat lacks melody and the bass sounds kinda Too loud, having a distorted bass is a good idea but that was just too much ... not bad in overall.

Boom bap instrumental with dark keys I made a couple of months back. The beat drops at 26 second mark.

The sample is REALLY dope, But bro ... do you hear the tempo at all ? the sample loops in a really bad way, if this is one of your first beats, its really good, but if it is one of your old beats and you still don't hear the issue with the sample loops when you listen to it, that's a problem. really good potential in overall

lacks melody ... and its too noisy for me to listen to as a beat, you were good on the drums though. but i'd rather listen to a beat with a melody.
there's a difference between Scott Storch beats and others, when Scott Storch makes a beat, its gonna be a hit, no matter how good the rapper is gonna be, but beats like this cant be hits, they have potential to be dope songs but that depends on the rapper, because there's no melody in the beat ...
