Intro

Hi guys I go by the name of V33H AQUARIUS, I'm from a city called DURBAN in SOUTH AFRICA, and I really got interested in making beats since 2007, that's when one of my mates introduced to local hip hop, I didn't know about cause I always listened to international cats such as TI, Lil Wayne etc. So on the same year I got a chance to be in bedroom studio with this guy who was making beats for my mate since he was an artist, I remember he was using FL studio but the older version. Seeing the patterns, whole arrangement, basically the process on making a beat it was amazing, immediately I wanted to make beats. I asked my dad to get me a PC, he refused and told me to focus on my studies. I'll do music later. He saw it as a waste of time, also the producer guy when I asked him to teach me, he had no interest. So cause I didn't know anyone else doing this, also me being that kid who listens to the parents, I ended up forgetting about the music thing. Fast forward to 2013, again I met someone else who had the software, he gave me a chance to use hit laptop but now I had no clue what's going on. And then I lost interest, also I was focused on my studies, like dad told me. Fast forward to 2013 everything changed I worked on getting myself a laptop, I couldn't save up enough till 2015, cause everytime I saved up enough, something would come up and I'll have to attend to it! Anyway 2015 I got myself a laptop on contract, cause I really had that passion inside me but was hindered by other people's view of which I shouldn't have allowed. One of the guys I knew that year hooked me up with FL studio 10, demo. I used it for a while. Making beats suddenly became easier. I understood much quicker what to do. I met other beat makers and they taught me few tricks, my sound developed, 2016 that's when I was most creative. But towards the end of the year I stopped, making beats, due to the things I was going through. I got back in 2018. Ever since then I never looked back

@V33H AQUARIUS very interesting story :D Who is your biggest inspirations when it comes to beatmaking?
Haha jeah it's been an interesting journey anyway there's alot of guys out there who inspires me but since I've been following the game from 2007 on wards, timberland really inspired me, all the hit records he produced!! . But also zaytoven inspired, especially when I started making beats in 2015. Who's your biggest inspiration?

It depends what kind of beats we are talking about. When it comes to boom bap beats it would be definitely 9th Wonder. When it comes to trap I look up to producers like Lex Luger, Zaytoven, 808 Mafia etc. However, recently I started doing purely instrumental tracks. Not beats for rappers to rap on but beats that are songs on their own and when it comes to such music I get really inspired by Sdms, Jurgaz, Hopex and BEATSMASH. :D I get inspired by a lot of artists and a lot of things but when it comes to beats these are the first ones that come to my mind. :)

9th wonder is one of the greatest, well when you talking beats automatically I think hip hop, that's my first love but I'm also a circular fan, genres like instrumental and classical music inspires me, basically any sound I hear, I get drawn if I find it vibey, how long you've been making beats?

I've been making beats since 2016 but my adventure with music started much earlier because I started playing the guitar in 2007 and at the beginning of my journey I wanted to become a guitarist. Later on I also started singing in a classical way (like in opera) but I gave it up cause it wasn't my world to be honest. In 2015 I got literally burned out. I got bored with playing the guitar and I needed something new and then I discovered beatmaking and it became my new passion ever since. I have to admit that now when it comes to making music I use a computer mouse more than a guitar :p I also came back to singing about to years ago but for now it is just another musical hobby I have.

Hahaha seemingly we come from the same era, ;) quite interesting story. I'm teaching myself a piano. I bought a 49 keys keyboard. And it's coming along good. Bro I've been trying to upload a beat but now it doesn't upload, I don't understand why. Is there a certain way to upload a beat maybe?

You should go to your profile and then you should see "Beats". Then you should click upload and you will be presented with an interface that will enable you to upload a beat. Maybe if you could attach a screenshot of an issue you're encountering it will be easier to assist you with it. :)

HERE, TODAY I WANT SIGN UP FOR THIS BEAT BATTLE JUST BEEN POSTED

If @Memento Beats you sung classical you should've stayed w/the training aspect as it can allow you sing other genres w/o getting winded, etc.
