@2GooD Productions - I like the strings/pads and how they bring out the dreamy quality of the beat. That guitar line with the tight reverb also adds to it. Kinda reminds me of The Mamas & The Papas. Overall, there’s a cool 80s wave vibe.
The vocals are a great touch. I think a cool half-time section, with the drums, could really double down on the whole dreamscape vibe.
@DJ Excellence - The busy, funky style, drums against the spacey and echoey sample was a cool decision. Similar to 2G, you went a dreamy direction with it. The bouncy bass line is not something I would’ve thought of for this sample. Those big lush strings help a lot to amplify the emotion. Nice work with the percussion as well!
@Armani - I like that you took this in an abstract direction. There’s a pensive, contemplative feel to this. More spooky than dreamy like the others. Great work with atmosphere and ambience. Not a particular fan of the trap style drums, but they fit this nicely.
@Tomblr - You went a similar direction as me. More “old-school” style chops and arrangement. I like that it has a rooted, emotional core - which is highlighted by the fact that you kept the arrangement simple. The other guys built out more robust pieces, but this one shines in the simplicity.
