@DJ Excellence

I like that you've been experimenting with your drums lately. A few of your last beats have some great live feeling drums - the little fills, drags, double ups on hi-hats - all dope!

Bass line is groovy, but I think it's getting lost between the vocals and busy drums. Actually I think the beat as a whole is a bit busy. I like every part of it, but I think there could be different sections where certain elements take the lead.

Overall, really dope. When the melodic elements come in, it creates a nice sense of atmosphere and has an ephemeral feel. Nice!

Simple little beat here - not sure if I'll add a proper B-Section and arrangement...

Sampled a few quick shots from an Otis Redding vinyl I got as a birthday gift a couple years back.

Simple drums, but I tried a few different things. Firstly, the hi-hats aren't quantized at all. I did a few passes to try and get it as tight as possible but still loose and "human."

Hosie been on me to get more swing into my drums, so I cranked the swing on the kick to 56% in Maschine! (for context: I usually live around 28%-31%).

Wrote a super simple bass line to add some low-end and movement - then layered in a stereo synth bass for accents.

Thanks for the feedback on the GS remix.

Your 90s Funk instrumental is :fire:, digging the chops. You could try to add heavier kicks and even more swing IMO.

Thanks @DJ Excellence - I actually did work this one a bit more and fleshed it out lol.

A little side chain helped the kicks come through a bit more. Will experiment with another layer for some more weight
