    Why not using FLAC? I'm probably too late with this, but FLAC is lossless just like WAV. But it's smaller then WAV. http://flac.sourceforge.net/

    I'm impressed by cubase 4 vids, just sucks that there isn't any demo. Thanks for all the advice. I think right now, cubase is a winner, and not sooo expensive after all (amazon promotion $799). The included vst's looking good, and I think I should just wait and invest in top notch...

    With real software and hardware emulation I mean that Reason emulates (acts) like harware. With the rack and the cables. With real software I mean like cubase and sonar or fl .. You use them as software, the interface doesn't act like hardware. Your right, I cant keep buying shit, thats why...

    The reason Imma gonna use sonar is the following The new sonar producer edition has better midi editing then reason. There are a lot of cool instruments included in sonar, same with fx.     the role of high hats

    I use HiHats to give the swing to a beat when using non complex kick lines. Like a kick on 5 and 13, then if you put Hihats on 1 3 5 7 8 9 11 13 15 it would bring the drum that swing effect. I think the role of HiHats is defined by the beat/song and not by the defenition lol :-D Peace
