After listening to a tribe called quest I didn't wan't to make their sound per say but I wanted to make my own sound that was distinctive in its own right.
It might help when you mix if you are constantly listen to the production of different devices before you upload it. This is good for overall sound but may help with your loudness issue but the comment above is a dope suggestion.
Agreed, I think its a feeling tbh. Maybe some people think about it too hard and its as simple as do I want to still make music. Maybe that kind of thinking might be a sign however, having never experienced I cannot not comment too extensively.
This has a lot of free samples which are great for a lot of styles so if you look under D you might find some cool samples.

I use windows 10 for music and production tasks, I have a Linux tablet i use for word processing and messing with computers and programming. I did have and android tablet with fl studio mobile but felt it was way to basic and a waste of the money.

Not bad for a quick production. I think the pianos are too loud and might have to much reverb. I also think the drums are really good just too quiet to have the impact they could have. The synth in there also sounds decent but is drowned out by other sounds in the mix. Needs some work but could...
