One of the more complicated beats I've ever made...

one of the more complicated beats I've ever made. I'm getting some 2000s NYC hip hop vibes, Memphis Bleek, Beanie, Freeway type ish. You'll prob hear how big of an influence Just Blaze has been on me haha. But if anyone has a min def interested in feedback, if it works or if there's too much...

You are about to experience a brief simulation of a psychotic episode in a patient with schizophrenia

thanks dude. I would love be to be part of a trio or group where it's a producer / rapper / alt rock type fusion since I love making this kind of style but I don't even know where to start to find folks haha glad you liked it!

I'm down for anything that creates constraints, I agree it's more fun that way

    Beat This! Competition - November 29-30, 2023

Mine was an experiment (feel like I say that often ha) where I used bucket drumming for the drums. I'm curious if it could support vocals or if it's too experimental, so I'm open to any feedback! thanks guys

I think I’m gonna ditch my mpc 2500 for Koala

That's one of the reasons I got the Fire to support my MPK. I sometimes don't even record but use the MPK to tap out a melody from samples I chopped or do some finger drumming, but I then usually just transpose it right to the step sequencer. When it comes to mixing, I don't think I've ever...

I've commented a few times too where I prefer theme/sample battles. I think it's good because it gives everyone the same time/creative constraints.

Music keeps me balanced. The 2-3 hours/day of zoning out has been keeping me regulated. I think I'm mental.

I didn't vote because it came down to a few and honestly I felt like they all deserved a vote. Tough when you can only vote for one!

little turd > big diarrhea though. I'm actually still very surprised by the lack of swing in new hip-hop.

Mister Fade, I had to reupload my file but I put REUPLOADED in the file name to distinguish the one to use. :eggplant: p.s. no particular reason for the eggplant.

I think I’m gonna ditch my mpc 2500 for Koala

I think my ADHD benefits from a lot going on. The beat I just submitted I actually made in like 4-5 different 20-30 min sessions, to include chopping some samples on my phone via a wav editor app I found haha.

I'm still working through initiation and trying to get out of Fade's basement, he said I can get out when I win a battle. It's all good though, we've been doing this thing, where, well it's hard to type out and explain. But he calls it "Polishing Mister Fade's shoes."

That's what I do right now in FL. Chop in Edison and time stretch right in the playlist. But I'm looking for something where I can snag a loop I like, save it down to a Google Drive, and then when I'm able to sit and work at my desk/DAW load up what I chopped and fine tune as needed. Right now I...
