also the piano roll is your best friend. as stated before^ offset your notes by moving them left or right, but make sure the "snap" in the piano roll is off.

you might have a latency problem. go to your audio settings and set your "Buffer Length" as minimal as possible. I recommend that you get ASIO4ALL, if you don't already have a soundcard with ASIO drivers.
anybody got that video of the white dude and his guitar. he samples one note in Live and then makes a track with it? i cant seem to find it and i'm going crazy...lol.
