    The SP-303 is good for just sketching out quick ideas and chopping up samples, its not really meant to be used as a centre piece of equipment. But if you have seperate sequencers etc.. then it would be good to get as it has timestretch and effects and shit. Madlib uses one. I dont know much...

    Watup, Iv been making beats for about a year now and i just bought my first piece of real equipment - a Motif 6. Im also in a duo, but the name is yet to be confirmed. My beats usually come out sounding quite dark and grimey, but i try and make alot of different ish.
