SP-505, I want this machine, but I don't know anything about it.
the 505 is good enuff for me dont rate the fx much but its workable. the good thing about it is its ease of use, cos there aint much to the machine u can just focus on the sounds ur putting into it. ive been rocking it since 2002, i like small budget concious machines i dont want a room... -

First of all have you listened to any dusty finger comp end to end? most will agree that lack of musical variety is not an issue with the dusty fingers comps. Its good music that is so rare that u probably will neva find the originals of the songs so why deny ur self of a good source of music... -

You could get a cart full of records but 95% might be wackness and not usable whereas on comps u know ur gonna get alot of the types of sounds that are useful in a hip hop sampling context. -

Dusty Finger comps
I like em good to listen to and mad interesting sounds from a beatmakers perspective. how do u lot feel about em? by the way im saying use comps plus other shit u find im not advising anyone to rely purely on comps for all ur samples. -

cosgin, im hella skeptical of records but when i buy something i ususally find a record that i like and that has dope shit to sample on it -

What to Look For When Shopping For Vinyls to Sample
check the year cos different eras have a different sound but me im sticking with 60's and early 70's i aint even tryna touch the 80's shit. also avoid shiny laminate covers. and check the producers and the lable. -

What's your process
when i get a new record i listen thru the whole record a couple of times to get an overall feel of the types of sounds on the record. then when im actually sampling im listening only to the tracks that sound the dopest, and sampling the parts from there.
