    Filtering!!!

    Use a HP filter to remove low frequencies on drumloops. Use HP with half or full resonance to give a drumloop more beef. Use a wee bitty resonance on dull sounding snares, it gives a bit of brilliance to it.

    Open up the mpc, unmount the IDE ribbon, unscrew the disk/zip -drive, mount in the IDE FLASH reader and put the screws on, mount the IDE ribbon to the same slot you've unmounted the diskdrive from ( there's only one option ). Dont touch the PCB or touch the radiator from time to time to unload...

    MPC2KXL, initialy bought for live purpose with other h/w, now serves for everything. From beatmachine to patternplayer to portable midi recorder on the clavinova to a percussion/loop instrument in a jam session. In the studio the mpc is in midi thru mode so I can control all synth via logic...

    it's cheap and adaptable, opposed to all those Mlan stuff, Firewire etc etc. You can use routers, switches etc to create a network, nothing audio related but plain simple pc hardware.

    Right... Receptor is a 19" rack synth that loads vst's... pretty cool... But Uniwire is a whole new technology, pretty smart too as it works by the Ethernet protocol to transport audio and midi. Considering every pc has an ethernet of some sort this is bound to be a very good future protocol...
