You can do the same with the new Emu farm cards, RME can do the same aswell. Them OEM's simply dont manufacture a kit complete kit. Eventualy its about the interface, AD/DA conversion ( transport ) and sync. Brand doesnt really matter, I can use an old DDA, add Apogee converters and Logic as the platform and forget about the rest.- Formant024

What's My Best Bet...setup?
Yeah, oke, but why add another sequencer if your main concern is the sound from the motif ? Save the cash and just buy the rack version. MPC + rack equals or better than the MPC+ workstation. Or sell the mpc and start using the motif sequencer, whatever you like best.- Formant024

What's My Best Bet...setup?
I'd go with the MPC + a Z4 or 8 and the Emu Emulator X studio. The Z series are probably one of the nicest samplers available at the moment. Enough memory, capabilities and adapts quite nicely to the pc via usb. Hook the midi to the mpc and you're ready to rock. The Emu is your PC interface...- Formant024
