Also man, a good compressor and mic pre-amp is alwyas a plus... But, u can do this with software also, the only thing is it's better to have a hardware compressor because then you can re-compress the vocals in your software program and really make them shine! Well i would say go buy yourself a nice mic, pre-amp, compressor,mixer and build a little booth (If you want to record vocals). You should still have a nice amount of change left over to go and cop reason and cubase or pro-tools.. There is alot to do with 3-4000 so i would suggest just doin...- eXampuL_oNe
