Aye... it's STILL a good setup for VCD authoring and even DVD creation. The greatest part about it is that it ignores Macrovision encoding from VHS and allows me to copy my tapes perfectly. ENSONIQ ASR-10 or cheaper equipment.
With one of the original ASR-X's, with the original OS, yeah, I can see that. With the last update, it's pretty stable. Then too, I never screwed around with the onboard fx while working on a beat. There's also the ASR-X Pro. Either one, they're dirt cheap on ebay nowadays.
