I am also guilty of that. Even as a beatmaker I spent more time and money on buying VSTs than actually making beats for a long time. Cool thing though is that now I have all the tools that I need.
I heard your beat a few times. I didn't feel it in the beginning. Was waiting for the drums to drop earlier. I changed my point of view and imagined a MC spitting too it and I think that would turn out super ill.
Dope work.
This is actually nice. I like the way new melodic elements come in also I think the ending is really on point. I would maybe take out the drums at some point in the middle of the track to give it a bit more dynamic range but otherwise I can't really add anything here.
Thank you for checking out my beats and giving feedback. Really appreciated. Actually the first beat has no melodic samples it is all non-sense based on Midi.
This is my beat of the week. Let me know what you think.
If you are not too bored of my beats I have another one: I flipped a sample from the Sample Flippage Section and this is the result.
Looney Bin:
Very cool sample and nice flip. The switches you implemented keep this beat interesting.
Just one thing and this is probably down to personal taste. I dislike the kick. It feels to dominant and too "electro" in my opinion.
