I never pitch my drums but I'll EQ them. Even when I've seen videos of beats done on the SP1200 and they pitch down the kick or snare, it just seems weird to me. -

It's hard to decide but it's down to personal preference. I always look for something that has a good mix but also has a nice tune and some changeups. In other words, a beat that sounds like they worked at it and didn't just throw it together.- Fade
