What mixers do you guys use?And do XLR connections or 1/4 inputs up sound quality?
I have a Vestax 05 Pro that I don't really like. Yesterday my friend bought a Pioneer djm 707 and that mixer feels like a pimped out tank. It also has XLR outputs to use to send into my MPC so I was thinking bout buying one and selling my Vestax. Do you guys notice the sound quality...- JP hardboiled

How do you decrease latency time when doing computer and keyboard music?
Thanks basic. I pretty much have no latency now. If only I could remember what the hell I did. lol... I know I played around with the buffer settings. If anyone has problems that's a good place to start. Thanks for the helpful advice everyone.- JP hardboiled

lol...Chrono, I bought and returned it at best buy. Sometimes, but very rarely, if I have the feeling the cd will suck I will carefully open the plastic the cd is in and pull the cd out w/o breaking any stickers than if it sucks I place it back in the plastic find a hotbed to reseal the plastic...- JP hardboiled

I agree with what Dorian Gray stated. He was on the wrong label and because of that he received beats that didn't "fit him." I'm not sure if its just the beat to blame for a lackluster cd though. I disliked it as well. Bought it and returned it. I just don't think overall that he appealed...- JP hardboiled

2 questions for ya'll
You have to use some sort of interface to hook up your gear to your computer. An external soundcard so to speak. I have the motu 828. But Edirol makes stuff that sells really cheap. Than just hook to up via firewire or usb and change the settings- JP hardboiled

rappable beats?
I create beats without MCs in mind. I guess I concentrate on just making music. Then I decide if I will rhyme to it since I also write. So usually if the beat doesn't sound like something I would ryhme to in the early stages I will trash it. Though I wish I could make more hip hop bouncey...- JP hardboiled

I use vst's like absynth, lounge lizard, and reason. Thanks for the advice... I did some of what you suggested. Like increased the buffer settings and fiddled around with the ASIO vs DX setting...this got the latency down a lot. BUT it still makes a difference when make music. I also use my...- JP hardboiled
