Gonna try this. I've been trying to cheat it with dual compressors (one sidechained to the kick and one sidechained to the Snare) but it just squished the fuck out of everything. I also don't care much for Logic's multi-band compressor. -

I think the strings fit perfectly in the mix. The ducking is a cool choice. Keep the body of the sustained, but get the rhythmic quality of the staccato. Smart. -

@2GooD Productions This is good! Sounds like there's a bit more swing in the drums than usual. I gotta figure out how to get my snares to crack like that. I like that tambourine rattle as an accent. The first, shorter one sounds a bit proud in the mix compared to the second though... -
