Dude if you can find a deal on macs let me know. The problem with Apple products is there is zero margin in them so no one can discount. Sweetwater=you get a real engineer on the phone and you always deal with the same guy. AMS=You get a high school kid with no experience. Other than that...- thedreampolice

ha ha, not to nit pick but AU is a plugin format, like VST (and is better than VST) The Mac equivalent to ASIO is called Core Audio, and yes Core Audio DOES kick ASIO's ASS! on another note, they have been promising FL on the mac for a long time now so I will believe it when I see it. @daproduct ?? What are you talking about, you don't need to use the dongle. Reason 5 was an AMAZING upgrade. Dude they added sampling to EVERYTHING, HELLOO??? Honestly probably not, I am actually not a big fan of the 58. But I would start with a good dynamic mic before going the condenser route. Also for hip-hop vocals I find that a dynamic fits better.- thedreampolice

Dude, I just hate Guitar Center. Yuck! But yea, GC should have all that stuff. As far as the 58 it will be ok on either, but the cheap one you have to really push hard to get sound out. its no fun!- thedreampolice
