Track is dope, I really like the atmosphere. I like the way the bassline progresses and all the changeups keep things interesting all the way through. The mix sounds on point.
Yep, mixing is a matter of trade offs and finding a compromise. Everything you add colours the sound in some way, less is more. There should always be a reason why you would add a particular fx plugin.
Production is what you make of it, you can make it ridiculously deep or completely simple. Its up to you.
Its less depressing worrying about what everybody else is doing and just do you, be unique and be original.
If im honest with myself, my problem is personal preference, I just like to hear that bass, then I put it on a sub and the room explodes. I need to invest in a sub just to let me know when Im pushing the lows too far.
depends on the daw you are using, there is a thing called time stretching, which changes the speed without affecting the pitch. Some Daws have it built in.
