It's up to you but from the way I see how people have voted over the years, it's best to have at least a one minute beat. When we used to do Warzone with a one minute limit, people submitted beats with a 30 second intro lol.- Fade

It doesn't matter how long the beat is, but the standard is 2 minutes which is what everyone is used to. A 30 second beat is way too short and harder to judge.- Fade

The quality control was actually the norm back in the day because if you were a rapper and weren't dope, you couldn't get in the booth. Or if your beats sucked, no one would want to fuck with your beats anyway. You had to have some sort of talent to be able to make any kind of music, but now you...- Fade

@Iron Keys Well said. For the beatmaking aspect, that whole $5 leased beats bullshit made no sense at all. I know there's tons of guys out there that think it's the right thing to do just to get your name out there or whatever, but it's still silly and just brings down the value for everyone...- Fade
