    NO, there is not any real sound quality differences from DAW to DAW. It is not a good way to evaluate anything. Anyone who says otherwise is endorsing or selling you something.

    Well if you dont know Pro tools, learn it. If you don't think you will ever work in a commercial studio, then find a DAW that has a workflow that fits your brain. But I would consider Studio one for sure.

    Your cd burning software will do that automatically, that is something you never need to worry about.

    You know my feeling in general is that you need to know Pro tools in side and out. But Studio One from Presonus is AMAZING! Crazy feature packed, really intuitive. And just smooth all around.     Your boot camp is not setup properly, load the drivers, and are you using Pro tools? You cant really run music software in VMware. EDIT I mean are you using Pro tools in boot camp.
