I dont know no professional who would use it that way. Tracks GO TO busses. Busses carry multiple tracks. -

We're talking minimalist hiphop records. Excluding vocals. If you're recording a rock band/live drum kit then yeah... but I've been in studios with top engineers using less tracks than some of you are suggesting. Some of you talking 100 channels 20 melodies wtf? You recording a full orchestra... -

@YannFer yeah I've watched it. But i wouldn't really class what they worked on as a typical Timbaland beat. Especially if you compare the track to his example hits... Dirt Off, Gossip Folks, Pony, Somebody etc And even if you compare it to his current stuff. The stuff he makes with Angel and... -

I have hardly any tracks in my project. Compared to some i see like 50 odd. But I remember Timbaland pointing out a fact about most of his hits are only like 3 instruments. I probably usually have less than 10. -

And if you can't figure why, you can always come here at IllMuzik and say "hey guys, to me my track doesn't sound/feel right in regards to xyz style, any idea why?" There may just be a few people with the ears and feel to help explain. -

It's better to use your ears. I know it sounds vague, and you almost hate receiving vague sounding advice in regards to something as technical as music/production. But I've found it's more often the best advice. The simple way is, just listen... does it "feel" right? Does it "sound right"... -

Personally i wouldn't recomm3nd this approach. It will generally 3nd up as just another beat. I'd suggest just learning the basic rhythm of the style you're interested in, then immerse yourself in something completely different so you can kinda merge elements. Also this approach to producing...
