    Ardour as far as an editor goes is fantastic. I actually have mixed a 8 song album in Ardour for a folk musician and it was great. Midi sequencing sucks and of course there are not as many plugins, you can get Windows VST plugins to work but not %100 reliably.

    Linux on all my web servers, I don't admin them so I think they are running Cent but I am not sure. I also have a Nuke workstation running Mint and I have Ardour on it. It rocks!

    I think more people like him should be teachers. Most teachers have never actually done what they are teaching in real life. Having someone in the classroom with real experience is invaluable. I would LOVE to take a class from Kayne.

    That is cool stuff, people don't know how powerful the CV and combinator is in Reason. You just hear complaints about not having plugins. But if you can't get the sounds you want out of Reason you just don't know what you are doing.

    I like compressor better because I can do a batch of wave files at a time, in fact I can even distribute the processing over my network, of course its not like MP3 encoding uses lots of CPU power, but it sure does help on the video side.

    Open the wav file in the Compressor software that came with Logic and you can select MP3 for podcasting. Should do the trick.
