    Some times they have better shielding, but the lower noise comes from common mode rejection http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common-mode_rejection_ratio Found in balanced cables. That being said if your gear is not balanced it wont make a huge different unless the runs are really long!

    Is your gear balanced? If no then it wont matter. Unless your cable runs are over 30' then I would go balanced anyway. But yes it DOES make a difference.

    listen to the last few songs on my site, I am a bass player. So I use a real bass that I play in my songs. http://www.drunkpedestrians.com it does make all the difference

    There are mobile pre Vista drivers on the Maudio site. Just update everything and try again

    You do know its just a controller for fruity. So load some sounds in to fruity and rock out. You cant PUT sounds in a MPD

    Xp wont support that much ram properly. You must have Vista 64 bit. They may run you in to problems as well.

    uh you do know that soundfonts contain wave files right......Load a wav file in any sample and you can control ADSR
