    Yes, you need to cut below 30hz, completely, the sound you cannot hear, but its still actually there will make your level peak and can leave you scratching your head wondering why its peaking.

    I just track out each track one at a time. When i import the waves into cubase i make sure to split the drum tracks and bassline onto seperate tracks and delete the right channel. The other tracks stay stereo.
