    I know running unshielded audio leads parallel to power leads can introduce hum, but as for the hiss, I dont know. As already mentioned tho, Waves Mercury or even Diamond bundle can fix that.

    Very good point. Thats exactly why I use soundforge to do my chops, I can magnify the waveform to its fullest extent to make sure I chop on the zero point, totally eliminating any clicks. And if its impossible to find a zero point(on stereo chops for example) i can simply do the tinyest of fades...

    i do all my chops externally to reason anyway, and then just import them into an nnxt. I love the new reason, the kong drum sounds are really impressive. My old drums sounds have become redundant. Now all my sounds come from within reason soundbank.
