Best trick to get rid of unwanted sounds on sample
there are a couple of ways, with a tail on a kick you can just mess with the sample end point by turning the sample end point down and also adjust the fade out on the kick sample to stop any abrupt end to the kick.- 2GooD Productions

You do it already, going by ear is the only way to learn, in my opinion. Re Compression, I try not to use too much compression, but if I do I export the wav and apply multiband compression to the wav. The drumbeat is actually from "Billy Squier - The Big Beat", im pretty sure its what they sampled for Roxanne,Roxanne. There are other sounds in the track that were used in Roxanne, but I just used the bare drum beat. Its a phat drumloop. Thanks for the props, your reversed samples inspired it.- 2GooD Productions

The 3:4 Time Signature really makes things awkward with this sample, its good tho, it keeps a person on their toes. Iceman. I quite like this flip, has a nice horror feel to it. InsaneMF.
