    Acapellas

YouTube seems to be the goto spot along with SounCloud occasionally. All else fails, google it. There are numerous sites that offer free acapella downloads. Also, the easiest way to find a BPM is to put the original song on a track and match the bpm that way. Once set, later the acapella on it...

What's your biggest issue in the studio?

I agree, if its a multi track recording. But if you record guitar without a click track, then hand that to a drummer during a different session, there could be a problem. With home recording, not only do you not have space to multi track more than a few instruments, but you're going to get...

What's your biggest issue in the studio?

Musicians not wanting to use a metronome during recording. Do not back down on this. So if you have a musician about to record audio for a guitar and it's not Hendrix risen from the dead, they need to use a metronome! Nothing will promote you better than your work. Giving a project to a musician...

    We all make music, but...

Our beats tend to have a west coast feel most of the time, but we've developed a unique style of our own. Tends to be drum heavy.

    How many beats....

I'm a perfectionist so I would say two at most. I think it also depends on who the beats are for. If you're just throwing beats together for a Saturday night freestyle session, the beats will be basic with very little melody. I sell beats on my website and it takes me about 16 hours start to...

Any & All Tips For Editing Vocals & Recording?

I double the vocals, and pan them equally to the opposite directions. (One right and one left) This initially makes it louder than you want, just fix that with mixing. But it allows you to put effects on both. This makes it easier for me to get the desired sound and prominence in the vocals I'm...

    Post your recording tips

Rookie school of thought when recording audio, "Don't worry about that, I'll fix it in post production." Don't fall into this trap. Always do another take to prevent headaches. You'll save more time by just recording the right way instead of trying to cover up mistakes later.
