    ^^^ multi-sampled kits are the way to go! Hence why I love the Maschine kits. The layered velocities are really dynamic. Sometimes I just crank the velocity to 127 to get that timbre then just back off the overall level of the track. Or vice versa.

    No name Fender knock off. There’s a music store on the other end of the city that specializes in cheap/affordable instruments for public schools and kids programs. They sell to the public for a slight markup. I paid $150 Canadian for it.

    The drums are the deceivingly hard part. Listening, they sound super simple. Then when you go to make them it’s a different story. You start by telling yourself “keep it simple” and realize “there’s something missing.” Next thing you know you’re wildly over doing it.
