Anybody have a wi-fi repeater?

Any recommendations? You know, the device that plugs into the outlet in another room to boost the signal. I saw some that look decent but there's always someone saying it craps out on them.

I have one branded as Netis, but most of them seem to be fairly generic aside from Dlink and TPlink. I don't know what the major brands are over in America though. Pretty sure it cost some 15 or 20 euros.

As long as you don't get some bottom tier garbage, you should be fine. A quirk on mine is that it "confuses" my devices into thinking my network needs a password for about half a minute every day before returning to normal. The speed is great, I get almost the same signal strength as when I'm in the same room as the router. My room isn't even that far away from it (some 10 metres and 2 wooden doors), but my wifi was noticably slower and one day I just couldn't stand it anymore.

@Drago Zetić @2GooD Productions Thanks. It's just I read some reviews where certain ones would just kill the connection and have to be reset or something. Then again, it's usually the case with any tech reviews. I think there's a lot of people who just don't know what they're doing.

Just remember that a wi-fi repeater cuts bandwidth in half, I learnt that the hard way and have since stopped using it.
