I struggled with this one...

...far from a complete beat, but I don't know if I can squeeze anything else out of this sample. Actually did the chops and additional instrument layers independently from the drums. Slapped them together with the simplest of bass lines just to have something.

Really good low end on this, not too heavy, just enough with that bass. I like the snare a lot. I can definitely hear some other stuff on top like strings, piano, etc.

There are actually 3 layers to the snare. The one from the break I chopped - pitched down with the MPC60 engine in Maschine, HPF and tracked in stereo - lands exactly on 2 and 4.

A mono snare that is slightly off the grid for a pseudo flam (all nudged off the grid by different amounts).

Lastly, I recorded the full wet reverb signal of the mono snare in stereo and blended it in too taste.

Glad someone caught the subtly detail!

Yeah! It has 4 different SP engines. A standard one, and 3 with varying filters ( Lo, medium, Medium Hi, and Hipass)

Real talk, I didn’t use it for years.

I also didn’t pitch samples up or down much. I relied entirely on the time stretch feature, which I don’t use at all anymore.

The sample was super familiar to me because of Raekwon's Marvin. Dope with the incoming instrumentals. I somehow do not like the snare you have used. It might be the delay or the reverb I cannot really tell.
