dude got mad skillz....i can see why he was painting on the walls. He had his own imagination about whats behind that wall and gave other people an image also. This cat is genious.

Graf is gettin so much more complex... I love seeing them stencil joints.. I have been seeing more and more of those all over the past couple years.. But, I really enjoy the ones he painted on that big ass wall. The one's that look like there is a hole through the wall n shit, them are super ill..

^^That's why Banksy is amazing. His stencil stuff around London relies heavily on distorting/perverting familiar images and icons - I really like they way he is almost always trying to say something with his pieces, be it something political or just something funny.

Nah, I don't think so...but I know the peices you're on about, I've seen them around the net a few times before - they were all done in chalk/pastels I think, and I remember them being rediculously good.

EDIT - This is the guy:

http://users.skynet.be/J.Beever/pave.htm

and some more stuff from him:

http://gprime.net/images/sidewalkchalkguy/

Those are anamorphosis... I made a painting once... the thing is you can only see the real picture with the 3D effect when you look at it from a certain angle...

Its real messed up that he can do an anamorphosis just like that, with no visual help or plan of any kind...

Can someone from there make a picture of those but from another angle than the right one...

edit... looking again at the picture, Im wondering if they are real... cuz the people looking at the drawing are looing from the wrong angle, so the picture should be crooked and distorted to them...

those are examples of anamorphosis, so you can see what Im talking about.

I love that dude Banksy. And It's so admirable that he refuses to give up his identity. No quest for personal fame or welth there.
My favorit piece of banksy was this stone he placed in the Brittish museum (I think it was) as a fraud of old carvings from an angent civilization. A great point he gets across there.
Check the one I mean:

Stone
The one at the bottom of the thumbnails. A man with a shopping cart

I think I posted the same link in my original post........

But yeah, haha, its hilarious that it took the staff at the British Museum a number of days to realise it was a fraud.

Nice as hell. And that dude has some good critisism in avery aspect of his work. It makes it richer that the art isn't just art. It has so many levels of critisism against this society.

I like the fella
