I agree, but like I said, shit happens. He messaged me that he couldn't make it but by then it was too late for me pick someone else. Besides, that would suck to have to hit up someone else like "Hey, you didn't make it but if you still want to enter anyway". That's why so many times in previous Battle Thats we've had this issue. I think a couple of times we even had byes!

Then they should just have to take the hit.

Or change signup so that people are locked in with 4 beats, or you got reserves.

I just found R2 and R3 incredibly easy to vote on.

actually it was not difficult R3 for me too. Not for the quality of beatmaking, I guess, just some styles that fit my taste more than others.

Think there's a lot of quality differences too. Though one of my favorite beats this whole battle didn't have the greatest of mixes.

Yeah the only thing I can think of is to require everyone to upload all 4 beats at the signup stage.

why have four beats when you can beat anyone with just one beat. That's how I know no one really listening to anyone beat fully. @Iron Keys had to cry about it for anyone to notice

On the other hand, it's impossible to force everyone to upload all 4 beats at signup. Someone could just upload 1 or 2 and stop. So the bottom line is there's no way to really get around it. I've actually seen people upload a beat for rounds 1, 2, and 4 and I had no choice but to use their round 2 beat for round 3 lol.

The only solution would be to make it so that you upload one beat for all 4 rounds. That basically solves it then.

2. Once you have get the email, you have X amount of days to respond, via email, with your beats and round selection.
3. Should you miss the deadline. You go to contestant #17 and ask for their 4 beats in 48 hours or something.

I think even at that point if people can’t get their beats together, it’s almost more fair to those who do, to benefit from a bye.

Again, just a thought. I recognize it’s more work for you, and there may be a level of unfairness as the original 16 technically don’t have as much time to prep, or contestant #17 now has to scramble.

We all have old ass beats lying somewhere... So why this person didn't upload any random shit ? Can't make it because both your hands got cut off? Well... make it work.

There are always going to be anomalies and I think what you decided had positive intent.

Appreciate all the work and effort you put into the site and organizing these battles!

I think too many people talk shit here instead of starting beat fights with the unused beats.

On a serious note I think there is no need for big changes. But I'd rather be the No. 17 contestant that you tell that he didn't make the cut but he can join if anyone cannot upload the 4 beats. Just my 2 cents.
