I really struggled to come up with something until I played this sample in. Also, I wanted to to work on my bars to kill your other beat, which I had to postpone to not let your beat fight challenge slide.

those flutes inside of the sample is also very solid, your variations are also on point!
@Kane the MOD : That rewind of the turntable is pretty sick, when the chops kicked in, it reminded me a bit of that one track from Dilated Peoples: Worst Comes To Worst

@attila - I started this very skeptical, because I really hate that china/splash cymbal you used lol. Sorry, just personal taste. Asymmetric/janky drums are hard to pull off. For me, beats need to have a rhythmic anchor, and with these style drums coupled with vocals and a lot of other moving parts - it doesn't have that anchor. Example, at the 0:30 mark when all the elements come in, it sounds like you left open 5 youtube windows on your laptop and they all started playing at the same time. While I do really like the sample choice and vibe, it's just a bit too cluttered for my taste.
@Kane the MOD - Great guitar sample! I think the start/stop chops could've been a good foundation for a DJ premier beat. Great vibe with this. There's a blend of modern and old school - kinda has an SP404 feel to it. Love the crunch bass guitar!
Another tricky one to vote for. There's a ton of vibe and feel dripping off both beats...some things were 'technicall'y better in certain spots.

I made the deliberate choice to use out of time chops. It's a style that I really like (when done well, I don't know if you're familiar with certain beats by L'orange). I'm still measuring things out (but prefer fights to showwcase cuz I think they engage more the listeners) and evidently, I've exaggerated andI must have put too much stuff together for the drums to handle it all. I want to try again, thanks for the feedback, bro.
