Dear @DJ Excellence, you are very talented, and moreover, your sound embodies the most appreciated style on Ill. I imagined this challenge to be particularly tough to win, considering you never miss a beat, damn you! For the first time, I recycled something I had already done instead of creating a new beat. The thing is, I've been a bit busy and short on ideas. I see you've uploaded a piece that's over three minutes long (I haven't listened to it yet). If I had known, I wouldn't have shortened mine to two minutes (the original is about four), but the last two minutes weren't very different anyway, so it's fine as it is. And now, let's listen to how I'm going to die...

great music, as expected. It has a delicious soundtrack-like feel, with a special mention for the drums. I love the fills and when the extra hats enter. I also appreciate very much the work on the strings... overall a top notch beat from start to finish, actually. props, bro!

@DJ Excellence - This is flawless. I love that round, synthy bass used on this. Moreover, how well it was used - as a rhythmic accent. All the elements of this fit together nicely and work to build a very enticing piece of music. It builds, wanes, evolves, and continues to keep the listener interested. Some very unique sounds/textures in here, that I would never reach for, but all compliment each other and the track as whole.

@attila - I love Dub, so this grabbed my attention right away. There's an organ lick of sorts at 0:16 that's way out of key, which is a shame, because it's a cool lick. You definitely got all the hallmarks of this sound in there (percs, fills, organ bubble, clavinets, guitars and delays). WRT the organ bubble, there's a few parts where it's also out of key. Outside of that, this is really well crafted and is dripping vibes. Hard luck getting matched against this DJ Excellence banger.

Thank you for the kind words. When I saw @DJ Excellence's challenge, I knew he would come in with a banger. The thing is not just that he's good, is that he doesn't miss a hit!

(About the off-key organ, it was not a choice, I just didn't notice!)
