Had a lot of fun as I made a complete track from scratch within 3 days for this competition.

I liked very much @Stan1 @V.J. Retro @P.A.T. and your beat too was dope. (3 days? I started my beat at 6 hours to the deadline and made It WHILE working )

kinda tough vote between one where the mix is a little off, but i like what they did with it, vs one which is in a style i like, but it has the whole suspect high end shit going on.

I voted for either @SJAMBOK BEATS or @Primz - I kept changing between the two so not sure who I ended up on.

I liked the Jamaican vox over the drill beat. I think the mix quality of the Beat was a bit low in that the mids seemed quite low, almost seemed like the song was mixed as a 2track + vox

Primz - cool beat I like this style of music. This mix had a lot of that weird fizzy high-frequency stuff I talk of - not sure if that's because of the ai?

Would love to hear before and afters of like your original beat / stems / vox etc before the ai just to see how it all goes together

I'm yet to see an 'AI Platform' where you can throw your mix and it masters it WITHOUT changing it in a major way. Ozone already does the minimal things to bring it a notch further but does not add or remove layers. So if you go with Suno and al, it does not keep the original specs (not even close) so I don't buy that this is similar to sampling, at all.

Maybe I'm wrong and these platforms now can simply master your mix while ACTUALLY keeping all elements/not adding or removing stuff but if that's the case I would like to know which one does and hear the beforeafter results.

On the battle side, 2 of those 16 clearly have AI generated vocals like it's so obvious. 2 Others I'm a suspecting they are too but can't confirm 100%. In any cases, to me, that's a big no no for this type of competition. Not here to point fingers or anything the persons who did it knows and if they are comfortable with it then let it be.

I recently put all my old beats and it kept the same structure. Prompting for a sampled drum that I did not have or even know where to find is where it shines for me. Also I am a big fan of choirs which is difficult to find especially if you looking for ethic choirs. I think it depends on how you use these tools. I mean flstudio you can generate a beat now and edit it which is modern day sampling I believe. I had a producer friend generate a Khanye West soul sample from an AI and put his drums on it and was spot on. Would he have found the that soul sample any other way ? Probable not quickly. I think at the moment the leading gospel singer is AI

I have been trying to lockdown my style recently. Not quite trap, not quite hip hop and some fuzziness. I wills end through the stems for you. I liked what AI did with the saturation. Only thing I hated was the chorus which was 100% AI always sounds so generic. So I am fixing this by getting a female vocalist to sing at a range and I can save her voice and manipulate on the future. I enjoyed hearing my voice sounding the way it did. What AI did was at then end which I didn't like , made it a bit electro but it kept 98% of the beat. So not too bad.

But I also agree , this thing of press generate and boom a a beat ? Nope I will record my workflow for you guys and show how its supposed to be used as a tool. Gimme a theme and I will work on something. Also, one thing to use AI and you have no credibility as a beat maker, so at the very least iv won quite a couple before AI and now AI is finally filling up my gaps

I didn't feel the instrument at 0:16 but that is a personal preference.

I was waiting for the bars and once I settled on the R&B vibe I was hoping for that @BiggChev and barmaid energy which remained unfullfilled.

Nice work, @Iron Keys If we talk about composition and song structure (intro, verse, chorus, bridge, arrangement), the work is professional. Melody and harmony—the melodic lines, chords, and bassline (especially)—are very well done. Great work there. Sound design: the genre didn't require completely unique timbres in the sense of never-before-heard sounds, but nobody likes boring sounds* and you struck the right balance. Also excellent work from that perspective. The mix is generally well done, but now that you asked for feedback, after careful listening I think the vocal isn't perfect. It's not completely "in front." In a track like this it should be very "forward." I can't say exactly what needs to be done at a technical level, but in this genre the vocal should be more upfront and clearer compared to the backing. Right now I hear it a bit blended into the instrumental, whereas I'd expect the lead to stand out and guide the listener. Hard to say if the drums should be turned down a little—maybe—the vocal/drum balance feels too tilted in favor of the drums. Note: this isn't a flaw that would make you lose a battle, I'm just saying in general. The other thing I noticed, also about the mix, is that one of the most interesting sound* is too low in level. That synth that comes in at 0:38 should be louder. Also those claps in that break could be a bit higher. Imho. Overall a remarkable job—(by my side, this genre isn't really my thing, but that's certainly not a criticism!)
