Yep, I was always in awe at his beats and was honoured to do the scratches on a couple
When he came up here we went digging and there was some 60s soul record playing, he grabbed that shit right away. Then I asked him what it was and he didn't want me to sample it lol. I just wanted to know but I forget what it is now. Anyway, yeah he has a good ear.

Remember when producers guarded their samples like their lives depended on it? Lmao, those were the days

my bangin and your bangin may be different...i say bangin because i took time, made a beat with no loops or samples everything played by me and i did my own vocals no accapella...i think its bangs because it dont sound like everything else...
you can still sound like no one else if you use loops or samples... All your favortie producers in the music industry use samples and loops. I can never understand why people knock that

Lol at the porno sample. What about for a crazy fuck section in the middle, had it on vinyl back in the day and no I've never jacked off to it

My votes in ;) some excellent work indeed :)

Regards the likes of ejay, does that sort of thing really still go on? Even as a child it felt cheap

Absolute classic

Nowadays it's near impossible to hide anything anyway, but it's just it was kind of cool to not know where they came from.

oop, lil louis is lit, journey with the lonely is a fire album, also the song called "aah" on that album kinda takes this vibe from that one section and makes an entire song out of it lol

very true because some are lazy with their chops or it just fits on what their trying to create. Some try to use what I call it the buried technique
I usually bury my stuff. Years ago though it was great to be able to find a certain samples on my own by just digging and be like "ohhhhhh it's from this song!". Youtube has taken all that away lol.
