Build a $21 Portable Vocal Booth...

i'd highly recommend a dynamic mic for those w/o vocal booths. it's what i use and i pretty much get perfectly clear vocals. I can even play my monitors at a low level volume and still record without the mic capturing any of the music. they only capture vocals at a certain angle. do some research on them!

btw you can find these boxes at bed,bath and beyond, they work well, the ones I got even have a hole in one side to run the mic thru..
Only problem right now is you have to sit to use it. Shit gives good sound tho!

Do you think it would be possible to some how hang the box from the ceiling? Maybe some how connect it to the ceiling and the floor to keep it from moving around?

I hear ya my 1st thought was to try to rig something like a small punching bag (ball) that has a bungy chord at the top and bottom. Something kinda like this:
