Cubase SX recording

Whenever I import a beat into Cubase to record vocals over it, it is always too fast. Cubase changes its tempo. How do I change this?

well all you gotta do is change the temp on cubase to what the original beat temp is i.e if you make a beat in fl and it is 95bpm then make sure the bpm in cubase is set to that
