That's nonsense. Anything can be repaired. The question is how. ImageLine could easily release a patching tool for corrupt FLP's, since FLP is their format. Just like zip/rar tools have ability to repair damaged archives.
Oh and I speak from programming experience, having been doing it since I was 10-11 and now I'm 25. Since FLP format is undocumented for the most, there's not much I could suggest or do programming wise but ImageLine is fully capable.
