Do not order a domain name through 1and1, they are the WORST registrar around! Go to the Better Business Bureau and read complaints about them, http://www.dc.bbb.org/report.html?national=Y&compid=1040770.

I couldn't get many web applications to work using their hosting. They kept telling me "Oh, we're upgrading, try tomorrow." This happened for a week, then I demanded my money back as allowed by their "satisfaction guaranteed" policy. Beware, I had to write ten nasty e-mails about how they are not honoring their "guarantee" by not refunding my money, before they reversed the charges.

To make it even worse, I received a bill 6 months later for the hosting they refunded me for...

I've never had a problem with GoDaddy, http://godaddy.com/.

IllMuzik is hosted on Jaguarpc.com, great host. Their domain hosting is aletianic.com, $9.95/year.

To redirect to another page, put this in the <head> tags:
<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.yoursite.com">

GO DADDY SUCKS! if you are a real admin 1and1 is the way to go. Again I have 25 domains with 1and1 with about 24 web apps running. Two of those I moved from godaddy because they sucked so bad!

I outlined my problem with 1and1 and simply made the statement that I've never been screwed by GoDaddy. Should I be concerned with how many apps I can get running or how the company treats me? To each his own. I have a friend who uses PowWeb, http://www.powweb.com/powweb/index.bml.

Plus, it seems the NorthJack ENT. simply wants to buy a domain name for forwarding purposes.

I did a site for someone that had a POWWEB, i hated their control panel. Most hosts are all the same tho minus a few factors....Im just a picky bastard.

If your just buying a domain u can pretty much cop one of those anywhere....
I got mine at Yahoo a long ass time ago for 10 bucks a yr.

I agree with this----Godaddy.com is the move, I've used it myself.

Good luck

godaddy sucks I will never use them again. Every person that I know that has moved from godaddy to 1and1 loves it. Read this
http://forevergeek.com/articles/godaddy_sucks.php

We can go back and forth all day about what sucks and what doesn't---Godaddy works for me but that's me. What rocks my boat may sink yours and flip side-----
:)

This is a great example of "to each his/her own"

I guess the best advice to give right now would be to just do the research on several sites (I believe m!nd_ctrl posted a link for BBB, ALWAYS check them out for reviews on any type of business---great idea)

What ever feels right and works for you!

((smile))

Good luck again
