Im really vibing to beat 1, that chord progression really works for me. Not trying to take anything away from beat 2, its a good beat too, but beat 1 just touches my soul. I like the Stand By Me vox too, nice touch, could be executed a little better and a bassline would put a bit of the icing on the cake but still in its simplicity its still got my head nodding hard.
After playing this over and over again about 10 times the second one is really growing on me too, props to both of you.
