Fl Studio

I don't know if there's many changes in FL Studio compared to just FruityLoops 3.x...if not, cut your sample into an even set of bars, usually 2 or 4, using your .wav editor. Load it into FL, play it on the first note (I would set FL to a 64 pattern) and then just adjust the tempo until it fits...at least that's how I used to do it some years ago when I used FruityLoops.

fl studio makes it even easier now you can set each channel to it's own bar count (i.e. you can set the channel your sample is on at 64,and make your drum patterns on 16)

if you look in the upper left hand corner of the sequencer you'll see a grey box with two dashes thats the thing that determans how long your pattern is.

you might try just copy and pasting the sample. that should work if you are using the new version of fruity.
